Boeing and American Airlines Facilitate FAA’s CLEEN Program with ecoDemonstrator

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) created the Continuous Lower Energy Emissions Noise or CLEEN program to help push the aviation industry into taking an active role in making air travel the most efficient form of transportation.

Boeing has stepped up by partnering with American Airlines to deliver what is being called the first ecoDemonstrator. This technology will aid in reducing noise and emissions during flights and improve overall fuel efficiency. American Airlines will be the first customer to utilize this new technology.

Boeing and American Airlines acknowledge the importance of environmental preservation and hope to be an example.  With the launch of the ecoDemonstrator, Boeing and American Airlines aim to continue efforts to reduce the aviation industry’s carbon footprint.
