Delta Announces Expanded Codeshare With Virgin Blue Airlines Group

Delta Airlines announced today that beginning May 21st it will add five new destinations in Australia and New Zealand by expanding its codesharing agreement with Virgin Blue.
Delta currently offers service direct between Los Angeles and Sydney, which serves as the jumping off point for current and future Virgin Blue connections. The existing codeshares between the two airlines offer Delta customers service to Brisbane and Melbourne, Australia.  New cities available to Delta customers will be Auckland and Christchurch, New Zealand, as well as adding Perth, Adelaide and Canberra to the Australia service.
Through the agreement, Virgin Blue will also add multiple US destinations for it’s customers on Delta’s birds connecting through Los Angeles.
