Relaxation on Your Journey
Categories: Industry News | News
Most people consider flying very stressful and unpleasant. Especially for those who don’t get to enjoy some of the luxuries and amenities found when flying internationally. In addition, there are currently not many places in an airport where passengers can relax while waiting to get to their destination. To address that stress, Vantaa Innovation Institute has developed a “Relaxation Area” at Helsinki Airport – HEL. The offering is really nice for connecting flights, delayed or canceled flights due to inclement weather.
Airline Trends reports that the relaxation area is free of charge to all passengers and includes silence chairs, pods and sleeping tubes, and the decoration and ambiance has been created to reflect elements of Finnish nature, such as ice and snow.
Now, rather than seeing traveling and airports as the enemy of your destination, with things like the relaxation area, we can all rest assured! We hope to see these particular amenities grow more popular and extend to all airports across the world, especially for us here in the United States.
